From speaking out on the "myth" of gender equality to banning the word "bossy," Queen Bey is all about empowering women these days.

In a recent interview for OUT magazine , Beyonc explained why she sang about sexual liberation in her most recent album, and how she hopes her songs will inspire women. She told Aaron Hicklin:

Id like to believe that my music opened up that conversation. There is unbelievable power in ownership, and women should own their sexuality. There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality that still persists. Men are free and women are not. That is crazy. The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims. Women are so much more than that. You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist -- whatever you want to be -- and still be a sexual being. Its not mutually exclusive.

Not only is Beyonc entirely unashamed of her sexuality, but she also reminds women that sexuality is part of strong womanhood, not a threat to it. Bey, keep doing what you're doing (and recommending YouTube videos on feminism ). Just excuse us as we bow down.
