Everyone noticed when Beyoncé pulled a Beyoncé and dropped a surprise single and music video the day before her Super Bowl performance. Everyone, that is, except Bill Gates -- who even earned a shoutout in the song.

Queen Bey name-drops the Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist twice in her hit,"Formation," singing, "You might just be a black Bill Gates in the making / I might just be a black Bill Gates in the making.

But Gates didn't even know he got a shoutout until someone in his office pointed it out.

"Yeah, I hadn’t realized that she did that until somebody in the office actually sent me a copy of the lyrics and I said, 'Are you serious? This is kind of a strange set of words here,'" Gates said in an interview with Wired. "I'm surprised -- I'm not sure she said those words at the Super Bowl, though, did she?"

Bey did indeed sing those lyrics during the halftime show, which Gates apparently missed as well. (Meanwhile, the rest of us have Bing Google alerts set for when anyone ever mentions our name).

"I guess it’s nice that people consider me successful," said the man who co-founded a life-changing, internationally known software company and is worth roughly $75 billion

And while you would think being a billionaire might get you a sit-down with the "Run the World" singer, Gates admitted he hasn't met Beyoncé. Time to get in formation line, Gates. He has, however, met Yoncé's husband.

"I know Jay Z, because when I did some humor right when I was retiring from Microsoft -- he was nice about participating in that, and did a great job on that," Gates told Wired. "I guess I should do a Bing search and see if there are more uses of my name that I don’t know about."

That's probably a good idea. He also might want to watch this.
