Bill Maher Likens Donald Trump To A Spoiled 5-Year-Old Throwing A Tantrum

Donald Trump is the adult version of a spoiled, self-entitled child and America's self-esteem movement is firmly to blame, Bill Maher says.

The "Real Time with Bill Maher " host unloaded on the GOP front-runner  in typical fashion during his show on Friday night.

"What Donald Trump really reminds me of is a spoiled 5-year-old throwing a tantrum," Maher said. "He is the grown-up version of every pain-in-the-ass kid who ever sat behind you on a plane kicking the back of your seat."

"While the parents did nothing, 'Little Logan is just exploring.' No, 'Little Logan' is being a dick and if you won't shove him in the overhead bin, I will."

Maher said the billionaire businessman's rise to political prominence wasn't due to "easy targets like racism, xenophobia, and fetal alcohol syndrome." Instead, he said the blame should be squarely laid at the feet of what he described as the country's self-esteem movement.

"Every time a parent takes the kid's side over the teacher's, or asks a child where they want to go to dinner or doesn't say be quiet when adults are talking, you are creating the Donald Trumps of tomorrow," he said.

Maher called out the real estate mogul last week for his repeated falsehoods that he said were inflaming his supporters' anger . "Nobody checks them on it. There's that old saying, 'Dance like no one's watching.' He lies like no one is fact-checking . And no one does."
