By every account, Bruce Jenner seems to be an involved father to teenage daughters Kendall and Kylie. In fact, on Bruce's most recent birthday, Kendall, 17, deemed him the best "daddy in the worldddd" on Twitter, sharing a photo of the 63-year-old Olympian sweetly carrying her when she had trouble walking in some vertiginous Christian Louboutin platforms.

But Brody Jenner, Bruce's 29-year-old son from his previous marriage to Linda Thompson, says that wasn't always the case.

"The way I see Bruce with Kendall and Kylie and Brandon, I'm actually so happy for them," Brody says in a preview for the June 9 episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," obtained by Us Weekly . "I think Bruce is an incredible human being and I think that Bruce is an incredible father -- he just wasn't a great father to me."

In the clip, following a family lunch Brody tells Bruce, "It's interesting to watch how you are with the girls, because it's like, something I'm not really used to. You weren't around since I was a kid and it's like ..."

Bruce cuts in, telling Brody, "Now's not the time to talk about it."

Kris Jenner , Bruce's current wife and mom to Kendall and Kylie, previously opened up about Bruce's decision to be more hands-on with his younger children.

"You've got to remember that this is my second life," she told Esquire in a 2012 profile of Bruce. "I was a housewife and a mother; that was my priority for the first half of my life. Now, after my first litter grew up, I had two more kids with Bruce, and he wanted to be really involved, and I went to work. He made that decision, because with his first kids, he maybe wasn't the best father. With us, he got a second chance."
