Chris Christie Is Over Marco Rubio's Same Old 25-Second Speech

Ouch.

The fangs came out early in Saturday night's GOP debate, where New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie lit into Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) for giving the same damn speech over and over again, no matter what the question, because he's simply not qualified to be president.

Christie's been making the case for weeks that Rubio isn't ready for the White House.

"You have not been involved in a consequential decision where you had to be held accountable," he said. "You just simply haven't."

Rubio fired back at Christie over New Jersey's credit rating being downgraded nine times. But then, he transitioned into an unrelated speech about President Barack Obama's agenda. It was one that he had given moments earlier, but why not do it again.

"Let's dispel with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing," Rubio said. "He is trying to change this country. He wants America to become more like the rest of the world. We don't want to be like the rest of the world; we want to be the United States of America."

The moderators were ready to move on, but Christie wasn't having it.

"You see, everybody, I want the people at home to think about this. That's what Washington, D.C. does," he said. "The drive-by shot at the beginning with incorrect and incomplete information and then the memorized 25-second speech that is exactly what his advisers gave him."

The crowd went nuts.

"When you're president of the United States, when you're a governor of a state, the memorized 30-second speech where you talk about how great America is at the end of it doesn't solve one problem for one person," said Christie. "They expect you to plow the snow. They expect you to get the schools open."

Rubio hit back, saying Christie was too focused on his campaign to care about the blizzard that hit his state last month.

But then, he did it again. The same speech!

"Here's the bottom line," Rubio added. "This notion that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing is just not true. He knows exactly what he's doing."

"There it is. There it is," Christie said to laughs. "The memorized 25-second speech. There it is, everybody."
