John Legend Reaches Peak #HusbandGoals With Perfect Response To Mom-Shamers

"When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us."

These days, everyone has something to say about Chrissy Teigen . She's criticized for sharing too much of her new baby Luna on social media, labeled for a bad mom for going to dinner, or shamed for selecting the sex of her child during in vitro. The mom judgement never ends.

And yet, John Legend , her husband, hasn't experienced a fraction of the negativity directed Teigen's way. Let's pause for a quick biology lesson: Legend is just as much a part of Luna's genetic makeup as Teigen and they are both responsible for parenting decisions.

After a "Daily Show" segment about mom-shaming mentioned the controversy surrounding Teigen, Legend took to Twitter to defend his wife and raise an important point about why we rarely hear about dad-shaming.

"Funny there's no dad-shaming," he wrote. "When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn't have to take it all. We'll split it."

Teigen first addressed the disproportionate response from her followers regarding the dinner date in question in April, writing, "I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!"

Pro tip: If you're going to criticize someone for their parenting style, first of all, DON'T. But if for some reason you still feel the need to, direct your judgement at both mom and dad. And don't worry about Teigen. She's no longer listening:
