Maru the cat has been charming the pants off the Internet for years now , and his latest video proves that sometimes simplicity is best.

Instead of his usual box-jumping, counter-sliding antics, Maru keeps things casual in this one and just paws at the floor. A lot. Like, to the point that you're kind of bummed for him that he'll never dig the hole he's trying for.

But one thing's for sure: as long as there's a camera and this cat is around, we'll be down to watch him do just about anything.
