Ellen DeGeneres just made one man's dying wish a reality.

On Monday, the talk show host surprised terminally ill comedian Quincy Jones with some great news : HBO is going to air his stand-up special.

DeGeneres used her connections to talk to people at the network, setting everything up with Jones' team. Best of all, Jones didn't even know about the news at all -- his entire team kept it a secret.

Just watch his priceless reaction for yourself below:

DeGeneres first heard Jones' story earlier this month when he appeared on her show. He explained that he was diagnosed with cancer and was given a year to live in the summer of 2015. During that first episode, the "Finding Dory" star pleaded on air with HBO to put his special on TV. Clearly someone was watching.

Since that first appearance , DeGeneres has donated a total of $25,000 (with the help of Shutterfly) to help fund Jones' special and she encouraged her audience to donate to his Kickstarter page , which far surpassed its $4,985 goal.

Jones is scheduled to record his special on April 4 at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. HBO will reportedly air the special later in the spring.
