Start Your Pride Month Off Right With This Hot New Dance Tune

With "Never Fade," indie-pop artist Fiorious gets "emotional, sweaty and bittersweet."

New York-based indie pop artist Fiorious has a brand new EP on the way later this month, and The Huffington Post got an exclusive first listen to the leadoff single, "Never Fade."

The song, which can be heard above, will be featured on "Dance Dance Dance," which is due out June 17. Fiorious's EP follows the release of his second album, "No Immunity ," which dropped in February.

The Bronx-born performer, who cites Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Chaka Khan and Robyn among his many influences, has been making waves in New York dance music circles for some time now. He hasn't been shy about expressing his sexuality in his work, and told The Huffington Post that he's at work on an "emotional, sweaty and bittersweet" third album with Spain-based producer Bawrut that will tackle LGBT themes "head on like never before."

"You never want to limit yourself or be put in a box, but at the same time you also can't underestimate the significance of singing an unambiguous, gender-specific lyric," he said.

Fiorious recently split with his boyfriend of nine years, and said that much of the "raw, conflicted emotion" he experienced in the breakup found its way onto "Never Fade." Listeners can expect even more of that on the new album, which the singer-songwriter called a "cohesive collection of songs about gay love and loss" that's "personal, political and yet still universal."
