Gerald Green Threw An Off-The-Backboard Alley-Oop To Himself Because He Can

Gerald Green can still throw it down with authority and flair.

The Phoenix Suns' swingman tossed an alley-oop to himself off of the backboard on Friday night that would have seemed far more plausible during warm-ups or during a dunk contest than an actual game, with defenders. Nevertheless, Green had the audacity to pull off this play in the second quarter of a game against the Orlando Magic. Having picked up his dribble, Green ducked under the out-stretched arm of Magic guard Victor Oladipo and tossed the ball to himself off of the backboard.

It should come as no surprise that Green won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2007.
