1. Give up Alternative Facts for lent. I encourage you to ask a group of 2nd graders (as I have done) this question, Whos giving up lying for Lent? My prediction is, everyone will raise their hands. Perhaps we can follow their example and give up alternative facts for Lent. Lying is lying. You can call it alternative facts, but its still a lie.

2. Give up Fake News for Lent. Theres been a lot of talk in the media these days about fake news. I agree that we need to give up fake news. This means we must get our news from trusted sources.
