Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has joined the people urging Charlotte, North Carolina, police to release their footage of the killing of Keith Scott, the 43-year-old black man who was shot by officers  on Tuesday.

Clinton called for the police video to be made public in a tweet Friday.

On Thursday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said the video would not be released  anytime soon.

“If you think we should publicly display a victim’s worst day, that is not transparency,” he said. “We’ll release it when we believe it is a compelling reason.”

Scott’s family viewed the video on Thursday and demanded it be made public. A different video  of the fatal incident, taken by Scott’s wife, was posted online by NBC News on Friday. Scott’s wife can be heard pleading with the officers not to shoot.

Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts, who had stood by Putney during his announcement on Thursday, issued a statement Friday calling for the release of the police video “as quickly as possible.”

“I do believe the video should be released,” Roberts said at a press conference the same day. “The question is on the timing.”

The NAACP called Friday for the police video to be released as well.

Even former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani  (R) said that “maybe we could resolve this thing a little faster” if the video were made public.

“Just from the point of view of calming the public, I sure would like to see it,” Giuliani told reporters on Friday, according to CNN ’s Ashley Killough.

A campaign aide told Bloomberg that Clinton will travel to Charlotte on Sunday.

UPDATE: 9:50 p.m. Clinton postponed her trip to Charlotte for a week “as to not impact the city’s resources,” her campaign said in a statement .
