Grab a Glass of Wine and get Comfortable While We Review

We live in a time when there is way too much information available to us from everywhere. How To, articles and then the articles that platenly tell us that we need to do this or we should be doing that if we want to accomplish this or overcome that. No matter what information is available or how much of it we read, it doesnt change the fact that humans are creatures of habit and its a struggle to redirect the negative behaviors we all have.

Its also near impossible to deal with stress, especially nowadays with it coming at us from every direction. The coping skills Im about to share are the truth that lay within all of us. In other words, what Im about to share with you is the real deal.

Now, lets review some of the most often used methods of relieving stress.

Wine

Its been scientifically proven that drinking a glass of wine actually has health benefits. Except when were stressed. We tend to start with that one healthy glass and then drink five more.

Reading

Ahh. Nothing is more relaxing than curling up with a good book and escaping our own reality. Who doesnt get lost in a great page turner? As we slip deeper and deeper away from our every day worries and sink farther into tranquility we tend to lose track of time, and then we stay up too late and feel like crabby a-holes the next day.

Sex

Its been scientifically proven that sex decreases stress levels as it increases dopamine levels in the brain. For those of you who arent aware of what dopamine is, its the kick ass chemical in your brain that makes you feel high on happiness.

It is also scientifically proven that sex rids headaches. No using that lame excuse anymore.

Deep Fried Burritos

There is zero research based on whether or not deep fried burritos scientifically relieves stress, but from my own person experience I have yet to have a problem that stuffing my face with a deep fried burrito hasnt solved or at least its helped me feel better.

Screaming

A great way to relieve stress is to go outside and scream. Not obscenities or anything specific, more like an out of tune yodel. Sure, your neighbors might think youre nuts, but youll feel a whole lot better. Screw your neighbors.

Exercise

The most obvious of a stress relievers is exercise. Physical activity releases both dopamine and endorphins in the brain. Yes, it counts as exercise if youre walking to the bar for a glass of wine and a deep fried burrito.

Stay-cations

Stay-cations can be very beneficial and relaxing if you do it right. Lock yourself up in your house or apartment for the weekend and travel the world via the internet. This especially helps you feel better if you have been experiencing negative self talk because you cant afford an actual vacation.

Cats

Okay, I admit, I may be partial to cats because I have eight of them, but its been scientifically proven that any type of companion animal increases happiness, the feeling of self worth and reduces stress. So, head on over to your local animal shelter and adopt as many pets as youd like.

Rest

Its been scientifically proven that if you throw your alarm clock out your bedroom window or run over it with your truck youll be able to sleep in, therefore relieving your stress level by getting plenty of rest. Stress can be and is with no doubt exhausting.

Benzodiazepine

Its been scientifically proven that Benzos calm people down, which in turn relieves stress. Although, you will need a prescription for those.
