Hugh Jackman Gushing About His Wife On 'Ellen' Is The Definition Of True Love

Hugh Jackman has officially restored our belief in true love. 

During his appearance on “Ellen” on Monday, the Australian actor couldn’t help but gush about his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness . 

When host Ellen DeGeneres congratulated Jackman on his upcoming 20-year (!!!) anniversary, the “X-Men” star admitted, “It gets better and better, and I can honestly say that.” 

“And she’s not even here,” he joked, before adding, “she’s the greatest thing that ever happened to me.”

Jackman met his wife on his first job “She was the star, and I had this major crush on her,” he admitted but was too embarrassed to talk to her. Eventually, the actor invited Furness to a dinner party. Afterward, she confronted him, asking if she’d done something wrong to make him ignore her, when he told her the truth. 

“I’d had a couple, and I said, ‘Oh, look, I got a crush on you, I’ll get over it,’” Jackman explained. “And she went, ‘Oh, really?’ And I was like, Oh, this is bad. And she goes, ‘Yeah, I got one on you too.’ ... So that was it.” 

Now the happy couple is 20 years into their marriage with two kids. See, folks, true love does exist.
