It's not somewhere he says he'll bring any of the kids.

“Jon & Kate Plus 8” star Jon Gosselin has a new gig and it’s about as far away from show biz as you can get.

The former reality star now has a part-time job as a chef at a TGI Fridays restaurant in southern Pennsylvania, according to Us Weekly.

“I work at TGI Fridays eight hours a week and give my paycheck to charity,” he told the publication. “I love cooking, what’s wrong with that? I’ve been working there about a month, so not long.”

Gosselin said that the gig is not his main job, and he donates the money he makes there to charity.

“I don’t need the money. … DJ-ing is still my real job,” said Gosselin, who has DJ-ed at an empty bowling alley in the past . He also DJs at the restaurant once a month.

“Jon’s part of our Friday family here,” the restaurant’s general manager, Scott Trompeter, told Us Weekly. “He does a great job for me. He comes in and works and does the prep and he donates his paycheck every week.”

On a January episode of “The Steve Harvey Show ,” Gosselin revealed that he has not seen all of his children together in years due to a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife.

However, Gosselin’s not allowing any of that heat in his kitchen. He says the children have not visited the restaurant since he started there.

“I don’t want to mix that,” Gosselin said. “I’m trying to make their lives as normal as possible.”
