When Kailey Ray donated her hair when she was 6 to an organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer, she was just getting started in her quest to help sick children.

The now 8-year-old is on a mission to donate 100 American Girl dolls (which cost $100 a pop) to patients at the Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati, WLWT reports.

Kailey makes enough money to buy the expensive dolls through her budding knitting business, Kais Love Hats . She and her grandmother hand stitch matching hat and ski band sets, one for a girl and her doll that cost $10, according to Kaileys Facebook page. All proceeds are used for buying American Girl dolls for patients.

I love my American Girl dolls, Kailey told WLWT, so I thought that they would love theirs as much as I love mine.

Kailey is well on her way to reaching her goal of giving away 100 dolls. She donated 14 last year and handed over 30 dolls at the Childrens Hospital on Wednesday, according to the news source.

Shes 8 and she grasps concepts pretty fast to know there are a lot of kids out there who are unfortunate, David Ray, Kaileys dad, told Fox 19 . Shes done so much to help somebody else. Im immensely proud of her.
