Kanye West Under Fire For 'Multiracial Women Only' Casting Call

Twitter is not happy with Kanye West. 

On Saturday, West tweeted a casting call for his Yeezey Season 4 New York Fashion Week show, set to take place in Manhattan Wednesday. The call was very specific in its ask for “multiracial women only.” 

The rapper, who is also currently performing his Saint Pablo tour at Madison Square Garden, received a flurry of responses criticizing the move. 

Women’s Wear Daily reported that more than 500 modeling hopefuls showed up for their chance to make it into Yeezy’s show. And they didn’t seem to think he was being exclusionary. 

“He’s so different from everyone else,” one 18-year-old told WWD. “I just think this is such an interesting show. I feel like any girl could do it, whether you’re six feet tall size zero, or size four. There’s just an opportunity with him.”
