The Sarcastic Message Kim Goldman Couldn't Resist Sending O.J. Simpson
|

Although O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of murdering Kim Goldman 's brother, Ron, and Nicole Brown Simpson in 1995, the former professional football player still ended up in prison after being convicted of unrelated charges in 2008. For her part, Kim has been outspoken about her continued anger toward Simpson, fully blaming him for Ron's death and hoping for justice. So, when Simpson was arrested for his role in the 2008 armed robbery case, Kim followed closely.

Exactly 13 years to the day after he was acquitted of murder, Simpson was found guilty of 10 charges, including first-degree kidnapping and armed burglary. Two months later, Simpson was sentenced to a maximum of 33 years in prison.

"The sentence was read and his family gasped," Kim recalls during an interview for "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" "They were shocked and couldn't believe this was happening."

While Simpson's family mourned, Kim celebrated.

"It was fantastic to see him shriveled up," she says. "He looked defeated. He looked kind of pathetic. And I loved it."

Kim also couldn't pass up the opportunity to send Simpson an extra something in prison.

"I purchased a 'congratulations on your new home' card," she says with a mischievous smile. "I signed it, 'Hope you enjoy your new digs. The Goldman Family.'"

In the same interview, Kim also opened up about a disturbing moment she experienced immediately after the 1995 verdict and later explained why, even in a life marred by tragedy, she feels "lucky."

"Oprah: Where Are They Now?" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on OWN .
