Kylie Minogue Is Not Having Kylie Jenners Attempt To Trademark Name

Hello ... her name is Kylie.

A war of two Kylies.

Last year, Kylie Jenner moved to trademark her first name  in a filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She sought to get the rights to both "Kylie Jenner" and just "Kylie," for "entertainment in the nature of providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment, fashion and pop culture; entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a celebrity, actress and model."

This, of course, stood out as a potential problem for others with the same moniker as the 18-year-old reality star.

Fast forward to February and enter Ms. Kylie Minogue.

The 47-year-old singer filed a notice of opposition  Feb. 22, highlighting how she has been in the industry since 1979 and her name has been a big part of her work, both for entertainment and social good.

The filing also manages to describe Jenner quite succinctly as a "home-schooled," "secondary reality television personality" whose "photographic exhibitionism" has drawn criticism for its offenses against disability rights and cultural appropriation
