Alex Thomason, a finalist a one-time finalist on The Apprentice, and a lawyer living in Pateros, outside Spokane, originally bought the old-fashioned fire truck to help protect his own home from the fire. However, when he realized just how low on resources the professional firefighters were, he decided to take on his own local fire patrol.
