Just a moment of Michael Jordan's time on Wednesday went a long way for a Korean family rocked by tragedy. Jordan has been in China all week promoting his latest sneaker and working with his Charlotte Hornets , but his attendance at a tribute luncheon for a late Air Jordan employee in Shanghai may be the most impactful part of his trip.

According to a Facebook post from Taiwanese entertainer and former basketball player Blackie Chen, Jordan stopped by a lunch in memory of Jordan Brand marketing director Sukwan Chae , who died suddenly earlier this year. In Chen's post, he says that Nike and Air Jordan arranged the event and brought Chae's widow and two children to Shanghai for it.

What nobody suspected, however, was that Michael Jordan would show up.

Chen writes that Jordan personally offered his condolences to Chae's family and thanked them for his hard work.

"Everyone on the team was moved by this moment ," Chen's post read. "A lot of people cried too! We believe that Sukwan can also feel comforted up there."

Los Angeles Clippers guard and Air Jordan endorser Chris Paul also tagged along to offer his condolences.
