And in our detective time, we've noticed that when Mrs. Obama chooses her attire for events, she opts for one bold hue above all others: royal blue.

Perhaps you've noticed it, too? Whether she's attending formal dinners , watching the State of the Union or celebrating Hanukkah , the first lady repeatedly gussies up in the same brilliant shade of blue. Luckily, it works well with all of her stunning statement jewelry.
