Mitt Romney Gets Testy After Gay Marriage, Immigration, Pot Questions

Mitt Romney: 'I'm Not Running On Marriage And Marijuana'
|

Mitt Romney got a touch testy with a local Colorado reporter on Wednesday after fielding several successive questions on social issues and immigration policy.

"Aren't there issues of significance that you'd like to talk about?" the former Massachusetts governor asked CBS4 when the topic turned from same-sex marriage to in-state tuition for the children of undocumented immigrants to medical marijuana. "The economy? The growth of jobs? The need to put people back to work? The challenges of Iran?"

Once the interview concluded, Romney was back to questioning the line of questions, albeit in a more joking manner.

"I'm not running on marriage and marijuana, those are state issues, right? Aren't they?" he said.

For the record, Romney said he opposed the legalization of medical marijuana, calling it a gateway drug.
