There seems to be a tendency in today's culture to glorify fame, but for those that have experienced it, it isnt always as rosy as it seems. For Hiatus Kauyote front woman Naomi Nai Palm Saalfield, who just released her solo record Needle Paw, being a public figure of sorts is at times quite challenging. Even though youre surrounded by so many people there is something very isolating about how people can idolize you. Im not Beyonc as far as fame goes, but ive been in situations where certain social norms go out the window, and this is what I struggle te most with because I really love genuine interaction.
