The Netflix series "Daredevil," which is one of the streaming service's most popular original shows,  will be much less "dark" in its second season.

According to a new report by Entertainment Weekly , not only will new showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez be "flooring the narrative accelerator," but the lighting will be different in response to reactions from the first season, where viewers often felt like they couldn't even see what was taking place.

As Daredevil is a superhero that can't see, the first season made a point to stylistically inhibit the viewers' visual abilities as well. This choice has apparently been scrapped.

"Season 1 had rooms that were sometimes so dimly lit that fans were squinting at their TVs, whereas there’s more clarity this time around," writes EW's James Hibberd, who visited the "Daredevil" set and and has seen the new season's first two episodes.

Petrie claims that the plot will move much faster in the second season, so perhaps the extra lighting will aid fans in keeping up.

“We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f--king could," Petrie said.
