The Rio Olympics saw another athlete’s hopes dashed by a gruesome injury.

 Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan was attempting to clean and jerk 195 kilograms (nearly 430 pounds) Wednesday in the 77 kilo weight class when his left elbow dislocated.

As Deadspin pointed out (and is shown in the video below), even his coach couldn’t look the moment it happened in Rio de Janeiro.

Ouch.

The medal hopeful was taken into an ambulance , The Daily Telegraph reported.

Earlier in the Games, French gymnast Samir Ait Said snapped his left  leg on a vault landing.
