World's Only Panda Triplets Move In With Mom, Who Hugs Them Just 'Like Humans Do'

World's Only Panda Triplets Move In With Mom

The world's only surviving giant panda triplets finally moved in with mom Juxiao this week at Chimelong Safari Park in China. The triplets were born at the end of July and celebrated their 100 days milestone in November.

Until now, the park has not left Juxiao in charge of all the triplets at once. Instead, they have rotated them between time with mom and time being cared for by keepers. Dong Guixin, the park's general manager, told NBC News that there was a tense moment when the family was reunited. "Everybody was holding their breath at that moment," he said. "One of the three was very nervous and stayed at the gate. Mother Juxiao waited for a moment and then went to her baby. Then she hugged the baby like humans do, we felt so moved."

It certainly looks like the triplets, who now weigh more than 8 kilograms, are enjoying being together with mom. Check out photos of the triplets and Juxiao below.
