British Lawmaker Tried To Save The Life Of Policeman Stabbed In Parliament Attack

A British lawmaker tried to help save the life of a policeman  who was fatally stabbed during Wednesday’s attack outside the United Kingdom’s Houses of Parliament in London.

Tobias Ellwood, a member of Parliament and British foreign minister for the Middle East and Africa, rushed to the side of officer Keith Palmer, attempting to give him CPR and to stop the blood flowing from his wound by applying pressure, according to the Telegraph . 

Ellwood, a former soldier, then stayed with the officer until medical crews arrived before returning to work. It was later reported that the officer died .

According to HuffPost UK , Ellwood’s brother Jon died in the 2002 bombings at a nightclub in Bali, Indonesia, and Ellwood went there to retrieve his brother’s body.
