A professor teaching at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School is vowing to do everything he can to keep Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump  from winning the general election in November.

Eric Schoenberg, an adjunct associate professor at the business school, has donated over $100,000 so far this year to efforts he hopes will lead to Trump’s defeat. Trump loves to boast about having been a student at the Wharton School even though he only attended for two years during his undergraduate career, not to earn a master’s degree.

“This man, Donald Trump, represents a true threat to our democracy and our system of government,” Schoenberg told The Daily Pennsylvanian, the university’s student newspaper.

Schoenberg’s largest known donation was revealed in the recent dump of 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee , the newspaper reports. Emails show that he gave $75,000 in May to help cover the costs of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, and that he was the top donor at a June 8 fundraising dinner.

Schoenberg has put over $30,000 toward Democratic causes this year, campaign finance records show.  This includes two $2,700 donations to Hillary Clinton the maximum allowed for a personal gift to an individual’s presidential campaign.

“I think Donald Trump is a potential disaster, and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he isn’t president,” Schoenberg told The Daily Pennsylvanian. “The Democrats are the only game in town to that regard.”

Schoenberg is the board chairman of Campus Works, Inc., a higher education consulting firm, and has also taught classes at New York University . He has long supported raising taxes on the wealthy, like himself , and is on the advisory board for Patriotic Millionaires,  a group that advocates “economic inequality is both dangerous and immoral.”

More than 3,700 students and alumni  of the Wharton School have signed an open letter telling Trump that his use of “discriminatory statements are incompatible with the values that we are taught and we teach at Wharton.”

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence  and is a serial liarrampant xenophoberacistmisogynist  and birther  who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims 1.6 billion members of an entire religion from entering the U.S.
