Rev. Run On Being A 'Born-Again Virgin' Before His Marriage

"I did not touch her," he says of his now-wife.

Rev. Run got personal on the premiere of his new relationship series with friend and co-host Tyrese Gibson.

The two were discussing the concept of born-again virgins, and the hip hop icon and ordained minister opened up about his view on the intimate topic.

"Born-again virgin, to me, is almost like being a born-again Christian," he says. "You decided, 'You know what? I'm changing my life around. Right now, I'm holding the sex back and we're going to do this in front of God.'"

It's something Rev. Run has first-hand experience in. He has been married to his second wife, Justine, for more than 20 years, and says he was a born-again virgin prior to their marriage.

"I did not touch her," Rev. Run says. "And then, on the day that I did touch her, [our son] Diggy Simmons was born."

He continues, "Here's the love about it: He's a handsome kid, he's a star, all these great things. So, I look at it as God's saying, 'Go on, let the party continue.'"

Rev. Run and Tyrese's new show, "It's Not You, It's Men," airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
