Two and a half years after quietly tying the knot, Ricki Lake and second husband Christian Evans are headed for divorce.

The 47-year-old former talk show host separated from Evans, 42, on Oct. 9 and filed for divorce a week later, citing irreconcilable differences, according to People. Lake has reportedly offered to pay Evans , a jewelry designer, spousal support.

Lake seems to be keeping her chin up since going forward with the split. On Monday, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, who has openly struggled with her weight, tweeted this message to her fans:

Lake and Evans went public with their relationship in the summer of 2010. The pair got engaged a year later and wed in a secret ceremony in Southern California in April 2012.

"I'm happier than I've ever been," Lake told People of life with Evans back in 2011. "[Christian's] a normal guy. We met through my best friend ... He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me."

This will be the TV star's second divorce. Her first, to illustrator Rob Sussman, ended in 2003 after 9 years of marriage . The former spouses have two children together, Milo and Owen.
