How One Mom Is Empowering The Differently-Abled Community

Runway of Dreams is bringing more clothing options to those who wouldn't otherwise have them.

Runway of Dreams founder Mindy Scheier is making mainstream fashion accessible to the differently-abled.

Apparel from her organization is made with disabled wearers in mind, using magnetic closures and adjustable sleeves to expand the clothing options available to them. Scheier said the non-profit was inspired by her own son Oliver, who wears leg braces due to his rare form of muscular dystrophy,  but wanted to wear jeans to school just like his other classmates. Runway of Dreams has made fashion much more inclusive for those like Oliver, who can now find more garments that they can easily put on and fit like a glove.
