Sarah Palin Actually Made A Pretty Good Observation About The VP Debate

She's got a point there.

Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin  pointed out Tuesday night that when she took the debate stage wearing heels in 2008, it was the only VP debate in recent years that required candidates to stand.

“How is it that the dudes lucked out and got chairs over the last 20 years of VP debates minus one?” Palin wrote in a Facebook post shortly after the debate between vice presidential nominees Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R).

The anomaly is frustrating given how painful high heels are for women, who face far more scrutiny over their appearance than their male counterparts no matter how significant  a woman’s professional accomplishments may be.

And Palin, one of only three women to run on a major party’s national ticket in the U.S., is no exception to the pressures  put on women to wear high heels in order to be taken seriously in a professional setting.

“Want a real test - try standing in  for 90 mins,” Palin challenged her male peers.
