Sarah Palin Calls Out Tina Fey Again

Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin hasn't forgotten the way Tina Fey impersonated her on "Saturday Night Live ."

Shortly after Palin was selected as Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain's running mate during the 2008 presidential election, Fey debuted her impression of the then-governor of Alaska. Alongside Amy Poehler, who acted as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Fey parodied what many viewed as Palin's navet on a variety of policy issues.

"I believe that diplomacy should be the cornerstone of any foreign policy," said Poehler as Clinton.

Acting as Palin, Fey replied, "And I can see Russia from my house!"

In a new edition of the book Live From New York by Tom Shales and James Miller, Palin says Fey might owe her one.

"You need to at least pay for my kids' braces or something from all the money that you made off of pretending that you're me! My goodness, you capitalized on that," Palin said she would tell the "30 Rock" actress if she encountered her today, according to a book excerpt published in the Hollywood Reporter . "Can't you contribute a little bit? Jeez!"

Palin also suggested that SNL 's producers were "egotistical" if they thought their work had any influence on the election.

"I think SNL is egotistical if they believe that it was truly an effect on maybe the public debate about who should lead the country in the next four years," Palin told the book's authors, adding that she appeared on the show to counter the implications of Fey's impression.

"I know that they portrayed me as an idiot, and I hated that," she said.

This is not the first time that the former Alaska governor has expressed her displeasure with Fey. In 2009, she told an interviewer, "I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year. ... That's a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society."
