Scarlett Johansson Cements Her Spot As Highest Grossing Actress Ever

Yas queen!

Scarlett Johansson is officially the highest grossing actress ever.

Thanks in large part to her role as Black Widow in "The Avengers" film franchise, the 31-year-old actress has been kicking ass all the way to the bank. Box Office Mojo has reported that movies featuring ScarJo have grossed an impressive $3.3 billion in domestic box office revenue . Not too shabby.

Despite her impressive feat, she's still sitting behind nine other stars, all of whom are men, on BOM's list -- including Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman. But Johansson is also the youngest person in the top 10, and she's got plenty of years left in Hollywood to rake in enough dough to nab that top spot. (That is, of course, if the industry finally realizes women over 30 still deserve meaningful roles.)

Johansson chimed in to the discussion around the Hollywood wage gap  in Cosmopolitan's May 2016 issue, saying, "I am very fortunate, I make a really good living, and I'm proud to be an actress who's making as much as many of my male peers at this stage."

The actress is also pretty far above the next female star on the list, Cameron Diaz, who comes in at No. 19 with a gross of about $3 billion. Helena Bonham Carter sits at 26, with $2.82 billion, while Cate Blanchett and Julia Roberts round out the top 30 with $2.8 billion and $2.7 billion, respectively.
