The Big Aristotle, the Big Cactus, the Big Daddy -- one of the most dominant players in NBA history will now be celebrated outside Staples Center with a big statue.

In the middle of his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday night, four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal was informed to his surprise that the Los Angeles Lakers will be honoring his time in purple and gold by erecting a statue of No. 34 slam dunking the ball, and placing it next to the likenesses of fellow franchise greats Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Jerry West in downtown Los Angeles.

O’Neal -- the three-time finals MVP who’s expected to be named to the Hall of Fame this year -- received the news with surprise and his signature sheepish smile, telling Kimmel that he didn’t believe him.

But no, Kimmel reassured him, he was serious. The team asked the LA-based host to mention it in front of the hometown studio audience.

Shaq’s resume is almost as long as he is tall. Along with the aforementioned awards, O’Neal was the 2000 MVP, was elected to the All-Star team 15 times and won three All-Star Game MVPs. He was the college national player of the year at LSU, the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1993 and had his No. 34 jersey retired by the Lakers in 2013.

The Big Shaqtus, The Big Shamrock, and, now, The Big Statue. Congratulations, Shaq.
