Thursday was Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy's last taping of "The View," and they shared some parting words before leaving for good.

Both she and McCarthy will appear on Friday's episode, and their final show will be Monday, but both those episodes were pre-recorded.

All I can say is wow, I am so grateful, McCarthy said, reflecting on her time at "The View" on Thursday. I am grateful. She thanked viewers, Barbara Walters, executive producer Bill Geddie and the show's crew. McCarthy joined the cast last year, and looked back on Thursday on some of her most memorable moments on the show.

"This is a job where you've got a lot of craziness going on, Shepherd added. But Jenny McCarthy always comes in with a smile and is one of the nicest people to work with in this business so it's been so wonderful having you here for the first year."

She also thanked Geddie, who is leaving the show and will be replaced by MSNBC's Bill Wolff .

This show was created by Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie and Bill recognized the need for a show for women, for us to be able to talk about us without interference, Shepherd said. On Wednesday, she posted on Instagram:

Shepherd and McCarthy announced in June that they will not be returning for the next season. The show is currently trying out guest co-hosts to find their replacements and on Thursday, "Good Morning America" meteorologist Ginger Zee and author Suzy Welch joined McCarthy and Shepherd at the roundtable.
