Solange Knowles stepped out in a bold look last night for Ferragamo's Fifth Avenue Flagship re-opening in New York City.

The singer-cum-model feted the event in a Ferragamo purple tailored blazer and siren red capri pants. And if that wasn't eye-catching enough Solange kicked the ensemble up an notch with a printed blouse, red strappy sandals, a full curly coif and a bright crimson lip.

Color (red, purple and yellow to be exact) seemed to be the sartorial call of the night with Marie Claire's fashion director Nina Garcia and other party-goers dressed in vibrant hues.

We love that Beyonce's stunning baby sis has been popping up so much these days. The Rimmel London and Carol's Daughter spokeswoman provides tons of style inspiration from her red carpet moments to pics via her Tumblr "My Damn Blog."

And in a recent interview with the French fashion blog Garance Dore we learned some interesting facts about the star...

1. She rarely wears denim. But if and when it happens, she's partial to oversized vintage Levis.
2. She thinks that shoes with sensible heel heights are essential.
3. Any signature fragrance? Nope--just "good ole deodorant and my hair butters and oils."
4. She has never worn a watch!

Sensible shoes? No watch? Deodorant over perfume? Sounds like a pretty down-to-earth gal. We dig it!

And we're absolutely digging the colorful ensemble from her fun-filled night at Ferragamo. What do you think?
