Warriors' Stephen Curry And Family Help Feed 400 Families In Need

He's just as big a star off the court as on.

As the NBA's lead scorer with another championship season potentially on the horizon, the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry has a lot to be thankful for.

On Thursday, the star guard and his family gave back to the Oakland, California community by personally delivering care packages to 400 families in need.

The generous act marked the third year Curry and the Warriors Community Foundation have worked side by side with the nonprofit group Feed the Children, NBC Bay Area reported .

Curry, who on Saturday was named the 2015 Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year -- joining the likes of Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and LeBron James -- met with the families and helped supply each one with a box of dry food goods and personal care items.

The 6-foot-3 athlete also helped carry the boxes to families' cars.

Joining him was his wife, Ayesha, and their daughter Riley. Noticeably absent was the couple's youngest daughter, Ryan, who was born in July.
