Susan Sarandon Reminds Us We Don't Need Photoshop To Be Beautiful

The outspoken actress does something downright empowering.

Susan Sarandon has always been a role model and her ideas on body image are no exception.

The stunning 69-year-old recently shared a photo of herself in a white bra, using the hashtag #TBT:

The image was a response to TV host Piers Morgan’s negative criticism of her cleavage-bearing bra and pantsuit ensemble at the 2016 SAG Awards.

Shortly after the image was posted, Sarandon received a comment from a Facebook user:

"How old is this photo?" the user wrote. "Photosmart (or whatever it's called) can do wonderful things. You can fool some people all the time."

Sarandon responded simply, writing, "This photo is 41 years old ... Photoshop -- or Photosmart as you call it -- didn't exist in 1975."

Women’s bodies are constantly coming under scrutiny and being policed, and with this statement, Sarandon refuses to allow someone that power over her. Instead of letting the user put down her appearance, Sarandon flips the script and points out the frivolous nature of the comment. Her response is strong and concise.

When it comes beauty inside and out, it's Sarandon FTW.
