Today, the parent company of Fox News , 21st Century Fox, announced that after 21 years, the O'Reilly factor host has been let go. This comes right on the heels of Tomi Lahren having her nightly cable show canceled by The Blaze.

I know what you're thinking: you're probably happy as hell to see these two racist, misogynistic, hateful people off tv, but lets slow down a minute. I still believe in the goodness of humanity and the unwavering ability of us all to offer forgiveness and second chances. Here are three reasons why Bill and Tomi both deserve our support during this difficult time.

1. Casey Affleck won an Oscar, and what's more natural than rewarding mediocre whiteness when they fuck up?

Bill O'Reilly has earned our support because he was born a white male in a world that now is struggling to realize that women and 'colored folk' are people, too. Who are we to expect him to learn this overnight? Instead of canceling his show like a bunch of bitter assholes, they should have given him a contract extension like they gave Josh Brown, or a slap on the wrist like Brock Turner. How will he ever learn to respect women and not talk trash about minorities unless he's treated like a precious faberge egg?

2. Tomi revealed to the world that she was pro-choice, which absolves her of any responsibility of being a racist.

Susan B. Anthony got a pass on racism, because of her work with the suffrage movement, so Tomi also gets a pass. Oh, and what a beautiful pass it shall be! Tomi's pass will be platinum plated with little rubies adorning the corners. It will be signed by Fredrick Douglass and dedicated to the victims of the Bowling Green Massacre. When she gets her pass, I hope she sits it on her nightstand so she can gaze at it nightly, before going to sleep on her fluffy, feathery bed of white privilege. God, she's earned it.

3. Cause fuck them, that's why.
