Your online date ditched you. You feel like you blew it in your big meeting. Sometimes, the rat race can be all too much. But guess what: Life isn't so bad! Time to start taking notice of those small moments of joy in life -- both random and warranted. Because really, it's all about the little things in life.

Like when you find a dollar in the pocket of a jacket you haven't worn in a while, and you feel like a millionaire.

If you think about it, isn't it nice when someone waits an awkwardly long time to hold the door for you?

Don't you feel like you've outsmarted Mother Nature when it starts raining the second after you got in your car?

How great is it when you wake up before your alarm goes off and realize you have more time to sleep?

Or when the subway platform is packed and the car door stops right in front of you and you secretly want to turn to everyone else and be like:

You know that amazing moment when an Oreo perfectly separates and you kind of feel like you've mastered this whole life thing?

Or when you're fast-fowarding the DVR and you stop just as the commercials end, and you're like, "Am I the best or am I the best!?"

It really doesn't get better than opening your book exactly to the page you were on. In your head you're all:

Or when the traffic light turns green the moment you approach it, and inside you're doing this:

Don't act like you're not filled with joy when more than 10 people "like" your Instagram photo.

How about when you witness a tiny but powerful random act of kindness and have to fight the urge to be like:

No matter your relationship status, honestly, how happy do you feel when you walk by a proposal? SO HAPPY.

Isn't it super duper when a stranger compliments you?

Or when you're thinking about someone, and then they text you, and you feel like a higher power is at work?

Getting retweeted is basically an invitation to do your happy dance.

When you turn the radio on and your favorite song is just starting, this is what you're secretly doing inside:

And when you see a rainbow, don't you feel like the world is a magical, wondrous place where only good things can happen?

So open your eyes. Look around a bit. You'll always find a reason to be happy, if only for a few minutes each day.
