'True Detective' Theme Song In 8-Bit Version Makes Us Need The Game

'True Detective' 8-Bit Theme Song Is Just Too Perfect
|

Going through "True Detective " withdrawals already? A guy going by the moniker Mike 2600 on SoundCloud has created something that just might cheer you up. While the title sequence of the HBO series boasts melancholy music that perfectly sets the tone for the dark story ahead, Mike 2600's re-imagining brings it to surprising life.

The creator recreated the theme song -- "Far From Any Road" by The Handsome Family -- with 8-bit sound. It certainly brought us back to the days of classic Nintendo. In fact, we started looking for the two-player 8-bit video game adaptation. We're still looking ... and already fighting over who gets to play as Rust.
