Tyrese Has A Private Backyard Benihana And It Looks REALLY Fun

Just ask Aziz Ansari.

"Welcome to my restaurant."

A mere mortal who loves Benihana might gather friends and family to celebrate a birthday over the hibachi chain's famous onion volcanos and shrimp tosses. Tyrese Gibson, who is not a mere mortal, decided instead to build himself a private Benihana -- in his backyard.

Back in 2012, the singer/songwriter/actor/gorgeous human opened his so-called "Gibsihana"  location for business. "I decided to move on yet another vision and build a full on restaurant in my backyard," he wrote on Twitter. "It's been a huge hit amongst my friends and loved ones ."

Those friends and loved ones, according to photos, include Gibson's "Fast and Furious" castmates and Willow and Will Smith . But unfortunately for Aziz Ansari, Gibson didn't count the comedian as one of those lucky friends or loved ones at the time.

 That's all changed now.

Ansari, who started fishing for an invite to the restaurant back in 2013 after he learned of its existence from his brother, finally fulfilled his Gibsihana dreams this week along with his brother, Andy Samberg, and Samberg's cohorts in the comedy troupe The Lonely Island. They were there to celebrate a birthday -- what else? -- and Ansari's Critics' Choice Award.

It looks like the most fun dinner party ever, and guests wasted no time sharing a slew of photos and videos.

Aside from the fact that Tyrese having his own private Benihana is just plain cool, we have a few questions. Do his chefs and restaurant staff work full time? Does he have a favorite hibachi trick? How does Benihana feel about all this? We asked, because you're welcome, but so far the restaurant chain hasn't responded.

One thing is for sure, though: Tyrese never has to awkwardly share a communal table with a big, dreaded group of tourists. And who knows, maybe even Jonah Hill could be convinced to make an appearance there someday.

Then again, maybe not.
