Iceland's 'Viking Chant' Is The Sporting Celebration Of The Summer

All together now: "Huh!"

We're calling it.

The Icelandic soccer team's spine-tingling "Viking chant " is the sporting celebration of this summer.

After each of their games at Euro 2016 , the players have approached their thousands of fans to collectively slow clap and "huh!" their way to a deafening crescendo.

It's electrifying.

Videos of the routine, also known as the "Viking clap" -- which some people claim actually originated in Scotland -- have swept across the web in recent weeks as the tiny Nordic island nation's stars exceeded expectations at the tournament.

Before the team's quarterfinal clash with host nation France on Sunday, more than 10,000 Icelanders turned out in central Reykjavik to show their support with this rapturous version:

And, despite losing that match 5-2, the team was given a thunderous welcome home to Iceland on Monday where its loyal fans again performed the routine.
