Things are not going to end well on this season of "The Walking Dead."

Sunday night's episode, "Not Tomorrow Yet ," saw Rick and co. launch their assault on the Savior's compound to help broker a trading deal with the Hilltop Colony. Things seemed to go off without a hitch (sans the cliffhanger for next week ), but the most pivotal scene actually snuck up in the middle of the episode.

While Glenn and Heath (aka "Straight Outta Compton's" Dr. Dre ) proceed to kill two sleepy Savior soldiers, they notice a series of grotesque polaroids plastered on the walls. It's hard to tell exactly what's happening in each photo, but judging by the bloody guts, we can gather that every photographed body has been severely mutilated.

If you haven't read "The Walking Dead" comic series or don't want to enter a potentially spoiler-filled zone...Stop reading now. You've been warned.

The polaroids allude to Lucille, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire which happens to be the weapon of choice for the upcoming big bad, Negan. We already know that Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan , is the leader of the Saviors and will probably be making his first appearance in the Season 6 finale ... which doesn't bode well for Rick's group.

In the comics, Negan is probably most well known for brutally murdering Glenn in front of Rick and Maggie by bashing his head in with Lucille. Seriously, this guy makes the Governor look like mere child's play.

Overall, the comics and the show do not follow the same track, but ever since the group arrived at Alexandria, things are seeming to converge into a more singular storyline. Therefore, it is very telling that Glenn is the first one to witness Negan's evil potential.

So far, Glenn has already had one-too-many near-death experiences with the infamous Dumpster Diving scene and a close-call in the mid-season premiere. We also haven't seen a major death in the original group (Deanna barely counts) since the mid-finale of season five. RIP Beth .

And finally, to add insult to injury, both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan described the upcoming Season 6 finale as "sickening ," with Lincoln even lamenting that he couldn't sleep after reading the episode's script. So, in short, we know it's going to be someone important.

Based on all the chess pieces, Glenn seems like the best bet. Oh, and let's not forget that he has a kid on the way. So, prepare for your heart to be broken. And if Glenn doesn't die, obviously our money is on Daryl.

"The Walking Dead" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
