Welcome to Kitchen Table Blues

It's a Sunday morning ritual seven years running: I go to my local farmers' market, come home with fresh food, make breakfast for family and friends, and play some Sunday morning blues. Welcome to Kitchen Table Blues, a weekly gathering of good people giving thanks for the blues.

Welcome to Kitchen Table Blues , a weekly gathering of good people giving thanks for the blues.

This week, we celebrate the beginning of summer with the Eddie Cochran classic, Summertime Blues . Released in 1958, the catchy ode to teen angst has never gone out of style: it's been covered by artists as diverse as The Who, Alan Jackson, Olivia Newton-John and The Black Keys. Hopefully, you'll find we did it justice.

Playing with me this week are "Dr." Chris Roberts on guitar and Chris Gonyaw on bass. Enjoy. Join in. And I'll see you again next week with a new song.

My new album, The Reverend Shawn Amos Loves You , debuts this fall. To learn more, visit PledgeMusic .
