Beth Daley

Beth Daley, a Senior Investigative Reporter and Senior Trainer at The Eye and NECIR, joined the center in November 2013 where she covers the environment, genetics and government accountability. Daley covered the environment, science and education for almost two decades at The Boston Globe and won numerous national awards for her work including being named a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Most recently she won first place, investigative, for small market from the Association for Health Care Journalists in 2014 and first place from the Society of Business Editors and Writers the same year for pieces on unregulated genetic tests. Daley spent the 2011-2012 academic year as a Knight fellow at Stanford University, a program designed to foster journalistic innovation and entrepreneurship. From 2001-2003, Daley was the Globes science and 9/11 reporter covering the anthrax scare, the war in Afghanistan and the U.S. space program.
