The levels of hate and bigotry in America have not diminished, a rep for the Southern Poverty Law Center told the Associated Press.
The decision, announced Wednesday, was in response to various local, state and federal officials asking people not to travel to Washington, D.C.
Seven of the entities which pulled in a total of $2.5 million in taxpayer funds are listed as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, NBC News revealed.
