Im so sorry, this is a hard one for me, an emotional Doherty said on her podcast before giving her explanation.
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star, who has lived with the disease for years, expressed admiration for the royal following her recent diagnosis.
"She lost it on me, and I was just not in the mood to back down," Doherty revealed.
Doherty teared up while insisting again that her co-star got her fired from their WB show after Milano denied any wrongdoing.

The actor sat down with her former co-star, Jason Priestly, to discuss what led to being let go.
One cant keep telling the same story over and over and over again, when its not the truth, Doherty said.
The Beverly Hills: 90210 alum shared a story in which she claims Milano tried to make Doherty look like a bad friend to Holly Marie Combs.
I couldn't go into that surgery with him there, Doherty said. I felt so betrayed.
The "Charmed" star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She shared earlier this year that it had spread to her brain.
